Lip reduction surgery is usually performed as a daycare procedure under local anaesthesia unless planned with other facial procedures. The procedure takes approximately 20-40 mins. A thin strip of tissue along the dry-wet border of the pink part of your lips (vermillion) is marked and excised. Sutures are placed to create a new lip line with a smaller pout. It can be performed on both upper and lower lips to maintain proportion.
