The Breast Reduction Procedure
The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and takes approximately 2–4 hours depending on the procedure. The stretched areolae are also reduced to an optimum size. Drains are placed for 24-48 hours to avoid any blood or fluid collection underneath the breasts.

What is Scarless Breast Reduction?
Scarless breast reduction is the liposuction of the breast. However, it only removes the excess fat from the breast, leaving behind the harder breast tissue. However, it has a limited role as the amount of fat or gland in the breast cannot be calculated beforehand, and this procedure does not lift the breast.
What are the different incisions and surgeries performed for breast reduction?
Depending on the technique of breast reduction, the incisions may be planned around the areola (dark skin around the nipple), vertically extending gently downward from areola to the breast crease and horizontally along the natural breast creases.
For moderately large breasts, a lollipop/ circumvertical / Hall Findlay breast reduction is performed where an incision is placed around the areola and a vertical line extending below it.
